Lee Clow is, by any measure, the most celebrated creative mind in the history of modern advertising. Beginning his career at N.W. Ayer & Son before joining Chiat/Day in 1973, he rose to become the defining creative force of the agency — and ultimately of an entire era. Over five decades, he transformed Chiat/Day into TBWA/Chiat/Day, one of the most culturally influential agencies the world has ever seen. His partnership with Steve Jobs became the stuff of legend: a creative alliance that didn't just sell products, but redefined how the world understood technology, design, and human potential. Clow's body of work reads like a greatest hits of modern culture. He directed the iconic **Apple '1984'** Super Bowl commercial — widely regarded as the greatest advertisement ever made — and spearheaded the **'Think Different'** campaign, which restored Apple's soul and changed the trajectory of one of the most valuable companies in history. He created the **Energizer Bunny**, the **Taco Bell Chihuahua**, and led the creative vision for **Adidas' 'Impossible is Nothing'** and the launch campaigns for the iPod and iPhone. His work didn't just win awards — it became part of the cultural fabric of modern life, studied in universities, featured in museums, and immortalized in documentaries including the acclaimed *Art & Copy* (2009). His honors include the Cannes Lions **Lion of St. Mark** (2015) — the festival's highest lifetime achievement honor — the **Clio Lifetime Achievement Award**, and induction into the **One Club Creative Hall of Fame**, the **Art Directors Club Hall of Fame**, and the **American Advertising Federation Hall of Fame**. As an instructor at Ad Legends Academy, Lee Clow brings an unparalleled perspective on what it means to build a brand that transcends advertising and becomes a movement. Students will learn how to think at the intersection of culture, technology, and storytelling — how to find the singular truth of a brand and express it with such clarity and conviction that it changes the world. Lee's teaching is rooted in the belief that great advertising is not about selling, but about giving people something to believe in. He challenges students to ask not what a product does, but what it *means* — and to pursue that meaning with relentless creative courage. Lee Clow is not just an advertising legend — he is the legend against whom all others are measured. His presence at Ad Legends Academy represents the highest possible standard of creative ambition, and a living reminder that the most powerful ideas are the ones that dare to think differently.
